Unfortunately in Gibraltar Politicians in general especially Government Ministers seem to think they are accountable to no one. They seem to think they are infallible, untouchable and very much above the law. Not a fan of McGrail at all but agree with your statement entirely.

Watching and listening to McGrail inquiry I just wonder whether he will be judged against national standards that do not actually exist in Gibraltar in other public sectors. That would not be fair or just. Not that we shouldn’t aspire to best practice. #McGrailInquiry

Feeling that citizens have a fear of speaking is nothing to be proud of. As a Gibraltarian the last time I experienced such fear of repercussions when speaking up in a population was in Cuba under Fidel Castro. This current culture is nothing be proud of.

My son is 18 — the age that is being preyed on by gangs of criminals in Nigeria etc. The gangs get, or pretend to have obtained, nude photos of them, and demand cash not to send the pics to all their contacts. 91% of UK victims last year were male. Several committed suicide.
