This isn’t new. The Stop the War coalition, fusing islamism and socialism in reaction to the 2001 invasion of Afghanistan evolved into Respect 2004 which lasted until 2016, dissolving into Corbynite Labour, now fragmenting again. Scenes like this have been happening for 20 years.
