Why is #investinginwomen key to climate action? Climate change affects us all, but not equally. Initiatives that consider these differences are more effective and inspire social cohesion. A just transition requires #funding that consider girls and women’s potential💪. #IWD2024

The Kenyatta University international students cultural day was a success. We got to explain to them what we do at KU-UNESCO and showcased some of our projects including the kijani bin which was of much interest to many.

The creation process of the kijani bin which is a bin made out of used plastic bottles by the members of KU-UNESCO. The inspiration for this project stems from our commitment to finding innovative solutions to environmental challenges such as plastic Pollution.

When you throw a plastic bottle to 'where they belong' - the dustbin, a section of Kenyatta University #ExperienceKU students collects them to make 'where they belong.' I penned their story for the Daily Nation. Grab a copy for the read. #BetterDays

Plastic bottles don’t necessarily belong in the trash. At least not at KU-UNESCO, we are turning plastic waste into treasure through an eco-friendly initiative "Kijani" Bin Project. We appreciate Labaan Shabaan and Nation Africa for featuring our project in their publications

How to get involved in climate activism It was hard for me to start activism. I was nervous about standing on the streets to hold a climate strike sign, so I understand. Some of us might even feel like our actions will not make any difference. Every small action counts, no one
