From poetry, short stories, essays to novels, the art of a well-placed metaphor has the power to draw your reader in and create an unforgettable text. In this session, you will work on crafting your own memorable metaphors through a guided writing exercise and craft conversation.

Join our Indigenous Writer in Residence, Selina Boan, for this gathering which is designed for anyone who currently practices a craft, wants to skill share, or is interested in teaching themselves something new. Please bring your own crafting supplies.

Students will explore, both in theory and in practice, the questions raised by public art. They will study the solutions offered by artists working in the field as well as the critical issues surrounding its diverse audience.
