I have not seen the WHO document but it seems “inhalation” is the preferred term for route of airborne infection. I like “inhalation” but “inhalation transmission” is not grammatically sound. The linguistic origin of “transmission” does not match this use.

Even more than a black aura, I want a respirator with the text “This n95 breaks chains of transmission.”

The vacuum of ambition is what has shocked me most about our approach to SARS-COV-2. I was brought up in the Apollo era, the eradication of smallpox, the vanquishing of polio. What happened to grand aspiration, vision, idealism?
