Blake Snell has an ERA of 10.42. As I said when both guys were still looking to sign in late March, getting such a late start was going to impact their effectiveness in 2024. Turns out, spring training is kinda important!

- Led MLB with 5.78 runs/game

- 2.62 team ERA (best since June 2011)

- Starters: 2.88 ERA. Bullpen: 2.13 ERA. First month with both posting a sub-3.00 ERA since June 1985

Today was the first scoreless outing of the season for Cristopher Sánchez. On Friday, he pitched into the sixth and allowed one run despite not having his best stuff. Today, he was just great.

His ERA is 2.83.

I know there's a lot else going on in this game but when Cristopher Sanchez has command of all 3 of his changeup, fastball and slider as he has today, look out. Velocity has increased as the game's gone on, some 97+ in that fifth inning.

Aaand he has a double and a 2-run HR today.

Some Phillies fans want to see Nick Castellanos replaced, but Jayson Stark doesn't see that happening.
