In the first four years of the deal, he has a 3.06 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 664 strikeouts in 618.1 innings.

His 19.5 WAR leads all pitchers during that four-year span.

The best deal of the entire 2023 trade deadline might wind up being Pierce Johnson to the Atlanta Braves.
