Don’t be defined by your mistakes. Don’t let what you’ve been through taint the rest of your life. God wouldn’t have allowed it if it was going to keep you from your purpose.

That mistake is not who you are. That’s what you did. It didn’t cancel your destiny. That bad season doesn’t determine the rest of your life.

The enemy would love for you to go through life condemned, wearing all these negative labels: doubter, addicted, failed, unworthy. Do yourself a favor; remove those labels and put on what God says about you:
—Redeemed
—Forgiven
—Blessed
—Prosperous
—Qualified
—Victorious

You may have failed, but you’re not a failure. That was a moment in your life; it doesn’t determine your future. Don’t let that mistake define you.

Paul said in Philippians, “God is working in you to give you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” It’s one thing to have the desire, but God doesn’t stop there. You’re going to feel strength that you’ve never felt, favor like you’ve never seen.

Happiness doesn’t automatically happen. It’s a choice we have to make. You can’t wait to see what kind of day it’s going to be; you have to decide what kind of day it’s going to be.

You cannot change God’s Sovereign will. You may not perform perfectly all the time, you may not deserve His blessing, but when it’s His Sovereign will, it doesn’t depend on what you do or don’t do. What God decides is unstoppable.

Even though you may give up, God won’t give up on you. He knows that you’re human.

James 4 says, “You ask and do not receive because you ask amiss.” How about a bold prayer, “God, I have a lot coming against me, but I know You being for me is greater than anything that’s trying to stop me. Lord, I thank You that the tide of this battle is turning.”

You are not inconveniencing God by praying bold. Bold prayers get God’s attention. Bold prayers cause angels to go to work. Bold prayers open doors you could never open. Bold prayers turn impossible situations around.

God doesn’t stop every difficulty. He doesn’t prevent every attack, but He wouldn’t have allowed it if it was going to keep you from your purpose.

We have ideas and goals we want to accomplish, but we’re not sure. “Is this my plan or is this God’s plan?” David said in Psalm 37, “If you will commit your ways to the Lord, if you will trust Him and do good, then God will give you the desires of your heart.”

One reason we don’t see God do great things is we’re only asking for small things. Are you asking for your dreams, are you asking for something over your head, those secret petitions He’s put in your heart?
