Breaking news - Provinces will pay 30% of the cost of a national contract for their players, with this level to be reviewed annually.

One game in Croke Park or Aviva should cover the million+ that this will cost Leinster. Over time it may lead to more central contracts.

Posted the Sam Prendergast to Connacht nearly two weeks ago, there were a lot messages to me saying it was never ever gonna happen. But there is a strong possibility of a starting team looking like this next season which would give Connacht a playing style and more finishers.

Three high class players who just didn’t get any game time from Connacht this season have yet to secure a new club.

Gavin Thornbury, Oran McNulty and Tom Daly would add so much to any squad.

They would be great additions.

Considering it’s the week of Leinster v Connacht. It’s surely only fair that it’s announced Sam Prendergast is coming on loan next season.

There may be a theory that there just isn’t the players. Loads of decent players but none that are game changers. Mack, Cordero, Bundee & Bealham simply didn’t get any game time together. Loads of young players with potential but some are a few years away from even Irish call
