A splendid sunny adventure down to the Sussex coast yesterday with Emily, walking from Seaford to Eastbourne along the Seven Sisters Cliffs - followed by Fish & Chips of course 🐟🍟

Just rediscovered this recording I did with pianist Thomas Ang of this brilliant aria - the 'Kid Aria' from Mark-Anthony Turnage's 'Greek'. Can you guess where the direction 'Melodramatic - Overstated' happens...? 🧸

The sun is out and I'm hugely looking forward to our SongPath event at Beverley Early Music Festival in a few weeks🌞

(Even though Amabel's crime, it seems, is that she has dared to grow older…)

We journeyed amongst the 900-year-old stones of Kirkstall Abbey exploring music, dance, poetry breathing, skygazing & a good cup of tea. And despite forecast rain, miraculously our singing brought out the sun 🌞

An uplifting afternoon of walking, talking & music-making

We are the generation that thinks more about “how will it fit the rubric” than “what is it”, and it’s a huge problem.

After an extremely wholesome Easter with friends, food and introducing their ten month old to baby lambs 🐑 and goats 🐐, I'm practicing this most beautiful Berg song today - possibly one of the best songs ever written...Also introducing new pot plant Mildrid 🪴

Still on a high from this concert a week ago, singing some of my favourite arias & ensembles with orchestra 🎻🎺🎵
