This is not how you win the votes of Jews.

Gallant is no fool and he's not simply a political animal like Bibi. He knows that the U.S. publicly breaking with Israel invites escalation from Hezbollah and Iran and emboldens Hamas. Understand his words in that context.

The President’s actions signal weakness to Hamas, to our allies and adversaries abroad, and at home. Congress appropriated funds for arms and ammunition for Israel, and they should be promptly delivered.

Proud words but it's worth remembering that the context of this was a disastrous war in Lebanon. Israel would go on to fight multiple times there since. It's at risk of another war with Hezbollah in Lebanon today.

Both Begin and Biden were wrong.

There’s a lot of anger & annoyance in parts of the Jewish community over the current halt on certain U.S. weapons. That’s a thing & it shouldn’t be ignored or minimized in the domestic discourse.
