Brazil 2027. What's everyone looking forward to?

New Zealand/Australia '23 was a big step up from Canada '15 and France '19 for resources and local organizing visibility. Brazil has three years to be ready to top that.

Brazil will host the 2027 Women's World Cup, becoming the first South American country to host the tournament. Brazil won the FIFA Congress vote over Belgium/Germany/Netherlands, 119-78. USA + Mexico, who withdrew to focus on 2031, both voted for Brazil.

I've reached out to a few stakeholders. Interested to see how everyone feels about this calendar. There are safeguards for player load management but no mandated rest between big tournaments + league play as some wanted. As FIFA has said often, it's impossible to align everyone.
