The Scarlet-bellied Mountain Tanager is a relatively large Tanager that lives in higher altitudes of the Andean forests in #Colombia . I photographed this around the Nevado Del Ruiz Volcano near the city of #Manizales .

Usually capturing #Hummingbirds in flight is not an easy task. But the White-naped Jakobin is an exception. It hovers in the same spot for a couple of seconds and that's more than enough time for a fast lens and a great camera with the right skills to nail the focus and exposure.

In the Rio Blanco Reserve of #Colombia 's Manizales area, one of our targets is the Chestnut-crowned Antpitta. A relatively large bird for an Antpitta is usually shy and rarely emerges out of the bush, but in some places birders have learnt the art of calling these birds out.

Two Coronets ( #Hummingbirds ) want to feed from the same flower. You can see one of them extending their tongue out of their bills. Recently on my reels people didn't understand how the bill was extending - which actually is the tongue.

A sub-tropical bird, the Black-collared Jay is found from Venezuela to Ecuador and were very shy. It took a lot of waiting for them to finally show up in the open perches.
