madeline odent Once met a guy at a church event and asked what he did for a living. He said he worked for the govt. What department, I asked. Finance, he said.
'Oh, keeping the nation's books balanced?' I said
'Something like that' he said.
He was Canada's Minister of Finance.

The problem with having a church policy that takes privacy really seriously (especially when it comes to photos) is that it becomes very hard to prove via photographs that people actually go to your church or enjoy your events.

Our national billboard campaign just dropped to mark the first ever Trans+ History Week! 🥳

Monday 6th will now be marked as Trans+ History Day, remembering the Nazi raid on the world’s first trans clinic.

The week they tried to erase us is the week we will remember.

JK Rowling's online history really is one of the most frightening examples of radicalisation against a minority group that you will ever see. The continuing capacity of this moral panic to twist people into hate is terrifying. The impact on trans people is intolerable.

This. Just chat prompts have the energy requirements of a small country and OpenAI has admitted that they cannot continue to operate in the long term without some kind of technological breakthrough in fusion energy.

Surprisingly generative AI is ecologically worse than crypto.

The ideal result (based on the current factors in play, not some imagined scenario) is a slim Labour majority and the Tories not even having enough seats to be the opposition. Instead we get a centrist Labour held to account by a broad leftist coalition. That would be funny.
