Florida Gov. DeSantis has signed into law HB 433, a bill that prevents cities and counties from requiring employers to offer even basic heat protections for outdoor workers.

I hate everything about this story, but especially the fact that this story was edited sometime in the last 5-10 min to pull the comment that Ohtani had said through his interpreter that he met the fans with no explanation for that (fairly substantive) edit.

Another important element of this story:

“I was able to talk to the fan, and was able to get it back.'

Ohtani never met the fan.
