#Sakura are at peak bloom in Toronto! The first cherry blossoms in Toronto were given by Tokyo citizens in 1959 as thanks for supporting Japanese-Canadians in the postwar period. 3,000+ cherry blossoms were planted in the GTA from 2000-2012 as part of CG of Japan Toronto's Sakura Project.
