First stretch from Lands End to Cape Cornwall done today in glorious sunshine. Watched a buzzard hunting near Cot Valley, got a bit sunburnt, did 10 miles. A good start. 👍

A mate of mine has suggested we try walking as much of it as possible. In chunks, as and when we can manage it, rather than an epic three week trek.

Today's stretch is on home turf: Lands End to Cape Cornwall (seen here) and it's a lovely day for it. ☀️

This is the Leshan Giant Buddha in China, carved into the cliffs to watch over the treacherous river below.

It is 1,221 years old and an incredible 71 metres tall.

Impressive — but it's only the 9th biggest Buddha statue in the world...

My favourite Cure album of the lot. Was lucky enough to see them play most of it at Wembley Arena when it came out.

I love how even when you go to see them live now, 35 years later, they'll still play loads of it. It's a belter.

The long, slow dusks you get in the Hebrides in Summer were just glorious at this site. We even had a pod of dolphins playing in the loch nearby one evening.
