From Chicago:

Mother's Day yielded a mother lode of options for the after they bagged a pair of top-10 picks at the NBA draft lottery.

'We are really, really excited about where we sit today,' Peter J. Holt said.

Spurs were one digit away from landing the No. 1 overall pick for 2nd year in a row. It began with 6-10-14. Spurs needed 3, but it came up 13, giving it to the Hawks.

Were it not for last year, No. 4 and No. 8 would be the Spurs' two highest draft picks since 1997. They have them both in the same draft.

It was probably too much to ask for the Spurs to nab the No. 1 pick (again) in Sunday's draft lottery drawing, but they did gain a pair of top-10 picks.

If it wasn't best-case scenario, it was pretty darn close.

So the Spurs will get Toronto's pick at No. 8 and will see their own pick fall in the top 4.

Pretty close to best-case scenario so far.

I understand this line of thinking. I would worry Toronto might actually be worse next season and you risk losing it entirely.

I lean toward taking it now, if possible

This presents an interesting hypothetical: Would you want the No. 1 pick if it means no second pick from Toronto?

In this draft, I might be inclined to take the two-pick scenario even if they are a little lower.

Only doing one Tankathon.com spin on lottery day. You get what you get and you don't throw a fit.

What do you think of this, Spurs Nation?

'It really got me goosebumps.'

Victor Wembanyama was presented with his ROY trophy Saturday at a place apt for a man they call the alien.

I'm about to go to bed but still flabbergasted that my day included a 20-year-old man explaining the concept of dark matter to me in his second language.

I also ate at Burger King, but the other thing was probably the best part of my day.

Just to reiterate ... I am told Victor wrote this by himself by hand.

If he wasn't so good at his job, I'd be afraid he's going to have my job,

As awesome as his tribute video was, don’t know if anything says Wemby is truly a Spur more than this…

Jeff McDonald asked him to elaborate on what he talked w/students about today

Watch how geeked out 20-year-old Vic gets & then explains Dark Matter in his second language⬇️
