Danger is amplified for victims of domestic violence when combined with the prevalence and accessibility of firearms.

Among high-income countries, the U.S. is an outlier in terms of firearm violence.
The firearm homicide rate in the U.S. is nearly 25x higher than other high-income countries and the firearm suicide rate is nearly 10x that of other high-income countries:
