I can’t remember a time when I could scroll through social media and not feel angry at the government or the state of our world. Can anyone?

I finished reading ‘The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue’ by Victoria/V.E. Schwab last night and my god…the ending left me breathless and in tears. Enchanting & mesmerising. I cannot describe how special this book is, and I know it will linger in my heart for a very long time.

A quick reminder. Children in care do not have the same opportunities as their peers. The majority of young people in our system face a lifetime of misery because of social neglect. This is their reality. #changeiscoming

The rise in school absences coincides with the rise in childhood poverty, mental health problems and longer waiting times for support. The government ‘must reduce the use of sanctions’.

This is an important report, but I don’t love that being under the Mental Health Act is classed as being in custody. 🙃 Makes it sound like those of us who have been sectioned have done something wrong.
