Jim Bolger on Johanna Whitty Gowran Park: “She needed to grow into herself. She had a blow out at the Curragh and stayed at it well today.'
Johnny Murtagh on Cheeky Wink Gowran Park:“Shane Kelly rides her at home & he's been raving about her for last couple of weeks. I think she's probably a mile or nine furlong filly. We're very happy with her. We'll speak to everyone at home & see but she could be a Stakes filly.”
Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley doubled up Gowran Park with Camelot Alexander. Harrington said: 'She's just a different filly. She was very tense last year but she's relaxed this year & she did it very nicely. Once he switched her to the inside she flew. She'll stay further.”
Patrick Mullins on Not Negotiable Tipperary Racecourse: 'She was quite green and had a good look at the road where I nearly came off her twice. I'd be very excited with her. I'd be very surprised if she didn't end up being a black-type mare.'
Ray Hackett - Lady Kate Tipperary Racecourse:'She will run everywhere during summer &, once she has a trip, she is fine. She is ground-versatile & is honest. The owners (Eamon Stapleton) are local, this is their second horse with me & is their first winner, so I'm delighted for them.'
Willie McCreery on Buttermere Ridge Gowran Park: 'It's great to get him started and we might look for a winners' race somewhere. He's a lovely horse and he'll like better ground, he just got away with it there.”
Noel Meade on Pinkerton Tipperary Racecourse: 'I suppose he was entitled to win with the way the race cut up, but he was pulling up a bit in front and got lonely. He (Sam Ewing) said he also wouldn't want it any quicker. He will keep going for another while on easy ground.'
