We had a blast at the TRIO Upward Bound End of the Year Celebration! Thank you for an amazing academic year students, you all deserved to be celebrated! The food was delicious. Additionally, our SGA, Vice president planned great activities and the students had a ball!

Thank you for an outstanding TRIO UB- IRC Academic Year! This week, we'll be celebrating with students who've demonstrated their dedication to TRIO by attending after-school tutorials throughout the year.

We're incredibly proud of our students' exceptional performance at the Drone Competition! They arrived early, demonstrated unwavering effort, exemplary sportsmanship, and outstanding teamwork, leading them to win both the 'Think Award' and the 'Judges Award.'

Congrats to Tyona Williams and Sarah Arnold for being awarded scholarships at tonight's SRHS Scholarship Night! Sarah was honored with the Gifford High Alumni scholarship, while Tyona received an impressive total of over $16,000 in scholarships. Excellent achievement by both!

One week away!!!! The dedicated members of UB-IRC have put in six weeks of hard work, honing their skills to conquer the flight mission task and master Python Coding. Their efforts will culminate in the Regional Aerial Drone Competition on Saturday, April 20th, hosted by GYAC.

Congratulations to two of our Upward Bound young ladies! Tymarra Word and Kalani Wright were named finalist of the Beverly Ann Flowers Carter Foundation Scholarship! We are proud of you, this is only the beginning! 🙌

PERT Boot Camp: We want our students to take advantage of Dual Enrollment, and in order to do so, students have to pass the PERT exam. Please plan to attend the upcoming boot camp sessions, April 2 and April 9th, then sit in our 'TRIO group test' session on April 16th.

Congratulations to Leo Swanigan! He was recognized for his leadership, good attitude and class participation. Ms. Roberts nominated him to be a Principal PROP- Principals Recognition of Outstanding Positive Superlatives. Well deserved recognition Leo, you're amazing!

Summer College Tour 2024 information was distributed this week during tutorials! The trip is tri-state, going to North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. In order to participate on the trip, students must participate in the Summer Academy and/or take a dual enrollment course.

Middle or high school and live in Indian River County and must be able to attend all three days.

Aleria Lester and Lenore Carter attended the March Meeting of the Links on Saturday, March 16th held in Port St Lucie. They were recognized at the meeting for their poetry and spoken word entry at regional and national level.
