The Charted Management Institute found that 83% of managers thought that improving workers' rights would improve productivity and 80% said it was a national priority.

Labour's New Deal for Workers really couldn't be more important both for our core principles and productivity.

It is welcome that The Times and The Sunday Times are joining Infected Blood Scandal campaigners and amplifying them. The Government must pay compensation to all those affected by the scandal, without delay.

Two victims are dying each week, there can be no further delay.

This week I raised that many charities in our region are struggling because of the cost of living crisis.

The Government must intervene to support these excellent organisations that need financial help.

On Tuesday I delivered a petition to the Government on the infected blood scandal.

We need action by Government to implement the recommendations of the inquiry.

As Sean Cavens and other campaigners have highlighted - far too many have lost their lives before seeing justice.
