Sunak relies on the fact 'more information... has entered the public domain.' Says he believes in 'proper due process'.

That Starmer line about the job being too big for Sunak feels really visceral and dangerous for the PM. I imagine we'll be hearing a lot of it.

Blair had a bit in his memoirs where he said that he had to find the defining reputational failure of each Tory leader and then zero in on it remorselessly. That might be what Starmer just unveiled: the encapsulating attack.

Also - and this is cheap and shit but I bet it's in there somewhere: the jokes about his height are part of that. The playground attack is bundled in without being said explicitly.

Good on Labour MPs Olivia Blake and Tulip Siddiq for raising the story of asylum-seeking children going missing from Home Office run hotels.

It's a story which would lead every bulletin if our country made the slightest bit of sense.

The most vulnerable children in the world, suddenly disappearing, some of them bundled into cars right outside the hotel, without the govt even able to state who has legal responsibility for the cases.
