Last week, in collaboration with STAR-Ghana Foundation, we united in Pulmakom, Pusiga, Mognori, Kulungungu, Paga & Namoo to promote peace & social cohesion. From market sensitization to peace walk, each step strengthened our border communities against violent extremism thanks to US Dept of State INL.
#Day2️⃣ started on an incredible note following a successful #Day1️⃣ engagement! African Union member states are analysing & reviewing in a holistic approach the #African Common Position on Migration & Devt. This seeks to position the continent in a more united & integrated path.
African Union member states in unism thoroughly reviewed the draft Plan of Action for the implementation of the #GCM & validated it accordingly. We are hopeful that, thru this, member states will experience the true value & concrete benefits of migration for development.
Yesterday after 2 days of thorough review, African Union member states validated a draft Plan of Action for the implementation of the Global Compact for Migration (GCM) in Africa. Ghana was commended as it is getting ready to launch its own national GCM implementation plan.
