We know #IndependentBookstoreDay was yesterday, but...
We spotted a number of Indiana authors stocked on the shelves of Indy Reads, located in Fountain Square. From Angela Jackson-Brown to James Madison, there are plenty of titles to pick up the next time you're in the area.
Which Indiana authors have you been stacking on your shelves lately? ๐
We stopped by the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, and aside from all of Kurt's novels, they also have some other noteworthy local writers on display. Plus, their literary magazine, 'So It Goes' is full of Indiana talent.
Join Indiana author Courtney Corlew at Indy Reads for the release party of her book, 'A Little Bit Extra,' on May 4, 2-4pm, featuring a Q&A with writer Kristen Bales!

We're in the midst of a new season of Writing Workshops and we loved these photos from one at Franklin Central High School, which recently hosted a workshop with Indiana Poet Laureate Curtis Crisler where they learned how to write sonastic poems!

Check out Nightjar at Tube Factory every third Wednesday that aims to create an inclusive space for all. Each month, poets Chris Carrier and Michelle Niemann will host a poet and invite audience members to share.
Indiana author Dan Wakefield passed away last month and the Indiana State Library currently has a display of his books to celebrate his life and legacy.
