I ended my wonderful visit to #Bolivia with the official launch of the #YearofCamelids alongside President Luis Alberto Arce Catacora (Lucho Arce) and 3,000 camelid farmers.

With Pro Camélidos, International Fund for Agricultural Development invested almost $40 million to tackle malnutrition and poverty by developing camelid value chains.

Llamas are one of the best suited animals to adapt to climate change.

It's always heartening to see the impact of International Fund for Agricultural Development's work on the ground.

This week, I am in #Bolivia where I saw newly installed irrigation systems thanks to ACESOS Rural. I also met students of the MANQ’A gastronomy school who are learning cooking, business and digital skills.

With António Guterres and other United Nations principals last week, we discussed how increasing political uncertainty, inequality and conflict are affecting the world's poorest people.

We need bold reforms to disrupt the status quo so that everyone, including rural people, can thrive.
