Whilst not being widely reported ICN are hearing the impacts of healthcare worker recruitment and migration being frequently referenced across the agenda during #WHA77

Tonga have been highly effective in addressing #NCDs through the use of specialist #nurses . Yet this progress is at risk as the result of recruitment by New Zealand and Australia. Small Island states with remote populations are particularly vulnerable to health worker migration.

ICN was delighted to jointly host with THET civil society organisations to discuss international recruitment and #migration of #healthworkers , highlighting shared concerns: 'No #healthcare workers, no healthcare.'
