Good morning. I hope you slept like a daphnia-stuffed stickleback - I'm starting with 'Woman Lying on a Bench', Carl Larsson, watercolour, 1913. Available as a singe card or as part of the Carl Larsson collection.

The sun came out in the end this morning here in Glastonbury. The trees are starting to come alive and it feels very Spring like today.

As part of Stroll Along the Prom, Prom Prom weekend, another Yorkshire coastal post. A line of cobles on the beach at Staithes, looking north west to Cowbar Nab (c.1885). Some 80 boats were operating from the village. Image courtesy of National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.

Canvey Street, c.1930 on junction with Zoar Street. We think this is looking west toward Great Guildford Street. Can anyone confirm please? 📷P4369

When describing The London Library to friends who haven't been lucky enough to visit, I often describe it like the library at the beginning of Ghostbusters - now it's actually true!😆😁

Henry Bartlett was a solicitor’s clerk from Lewes who took up photography as a hobby around the 1890s.
The collection (ACC 8509) shows life in Lewes over 100 years ago.

Many people chose to be photographed with their nearest and dearest- their pets.

St James's, Llangua, Monmouthshire was very dear to our founder, Ivor Bulmer-Thomas. The church closed in 2020 and is currently in a precarious condition, with its magnificent medieval wagon roofs in danger of collapse. But we are about to begin repairs!

A bit of sparkle for Friday. Taken this morning on Glastonbury Tor about an hour after sunrise. I went up twice today, once at sunrise and then to take this one.
