Hamilton was written to flatter the monarch (Barack Obama) in his court, the same basic genesis as a lot of Shakespearean tragedies and histories. Ideologically, that’s what it does: it’s designed to reinforce Obama’s worldview.

David Klion My only cavil here is 'flatter' and 'designed to' connote Miranda stood apart from the Obama worldview rather than simply being part of it. I think the latter is more likely. Obama's very success implies his worldview was widely shared.
