“One rule for Tory Ministers and one for everyone else”.

Why does the ban on incinerator permits not apply to applications decided by local authorities? - a great question by Holly.

Grassroots venues are cultural & community hubs that provide a pipeline of talent that give employment, give opportunities to artists that helps generate huge amounts of money for the UK by those that go onto bigger things. Without the pipeline there won’t be much to put on

The Music Venue Trust says two grassroots music venues closed every week last year largely driven by spiralling costs.

I asked Ministers what are they doing to support much loved venues such as our very own Grayston Unity so we don’t lose access to live music and skills training.

Liz Truss was the DEFRA Sec when Calderdale flooded in 2015.

She was a Tory and you might not have agreed with her, but for years she had serious roles in Government, a grown up politician you could have a conversation with.

I have absolutely no idea how it came to this.

Good to be out with Kelly Thornham, Shane Taylor and Cllr Danielle Durrans 🌈♿🌹🧡 ahead of the local elections. Really good people, doing it for all the right reasons, and never taking your support for granted.

Good to visit Park Lane Academy recently and meet with the senior leadership team. They work incredibly hard for the students and have transformed attendance in recent months. Great to see.
