After 4 fruitful years at Duke, I am happy to share that I joined Nymirum to exploit RNA dynamics to guide novel small molecule drug discovery. Special thanks to my mentors & colleagues in Al-Hashimi and Holley Lab labs for their help, exceptional work ethics, and friendship.
I arrived NMR Community and directly had the first & fantastic talk by Akanksha Manghrani 👏 bravo! And thanks for highlighting Selope from us …mistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10… and the Al-Hashimi lab mr.copernicus.org/articles/2/715…
Prof. Masad Damha (McGill Chemistry) recently received $50,000 USD from the ACS Green Chemistry Institute to build on his MSSI-funded research into reducing the environmental impact of oligonucleotide synthesis using mechanochemistry. Read more: mcgill.ca/x/3Po Masad J. Damha James D. Thorpe
I'm very happy to see this study published in Communications Chemistry. Great Job! Again, combining the best synthetic chemistry, sate-of-the-art computer calculation and NMR is a winning card. @iqfr_csic GERMN RSEQ #NMRchat
It’s no secret that we Damha Research Group love FANA. Check out this book chapter I co-authored with Masad J. Damha and Migaravís on the wonders of FANA in the context of noncanonical nucleic acids! Special thanks Carlos Gonzalez & his lab for our FANAtastic collaborations! link.springer.com/referenceworke…
Just had an inspiring read of an amazing perspective by Hashim Al-Hashimi Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics, making the case that biomolecules are computational machines. When DNA polymerase can be reduced into lines of code with conformational states being a form of memory, how far can we go?
Telomeric i-motifs and C-strands inhibit parallel G-quadruplex extension by telomerase academic.oup.com/nar/article/do… Big thanks to Roberto El Khoury Hala Abou Assi Aaron L. Moye, PhD, Morgane Roman, Dr Tracy Bryan Damha Research Group who made this study possible!
All the rain from hurricane ophelia past and it was a gorgeous day today for the #aub4beirut walk/run/picnic! The chapter raised money to support American University of Beirut AUBMCares. Thanks to all who were able to make it. It was a blast! we missed all those who could not be there!
Join us for a 1-hour conversation with our PROMOTE mentors – “4 career journeys, stories, experiences!” Feb 15, 2024: 12-1PM. All welcome. Carneiro lab, Hala Abou Assi, Stephanie Michaud mcgill, NSERC / CRSNG To register: [email protected]
Great Bernard Belleau Lecture today given by a long time friend of the Damha Lab, Mano Manoharan. The lecture included some great picture of a young Masad J. Damha! 🧬
Huge congratulations to Hashim M. Al-Hashimi Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics for receiving The 2024 Laukien Prize ENC - Experimental Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Conf !!!
Prof Hashim M. Al-Hashimi Columbia Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons Columbia Medicine is awarded the 2024 @Bruker Guenther Laukien Prize at the 65th ENC Conference ENC - Experimental Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Conf for his significant contributions to the field of NMR in the study of nucleic acids #ENC2024 bruker.com/en/news-and-ev… #NMRnews #NMRchat #NMR🧲
