On the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the children from the residential child care centres paid tribute to the leader - who was a key figure in the Indian independence movement - through patriotic song and dance performances.

Today is International Day of Education. During 2022-23, we helped 8552 children access education.

25 years ago, Maureen Forrest started The Hope Foundation in Kolkata, India, with one childcare centre to protect 13 girls. HOPE has since changed the lives of more than 3 million people and today runs 57 projects, including 10 childcare centres, 4 creches and a hospital.

Children from the Residential Childcare Centres enjoyed an excursion to Purulia, where they visited Marble Lake, Laharia Mondir, Bambi Falls, Upper Dam, Ayodhya Hills and many other picturesque places.

The children from our programmes in Kolkata celebrated #NationalYouthDay on 12 January. The day is also known as Vivekananda Jayanti, because it falls on the birthday of a Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda.
