⚽️HMP Prescoed & Cilwrgi Farm Prisoners will play against a team of Staff members in a friendly football match on the 25th of April. Events like this help to Improve staff and prisoner relationships and builds a safer environment for our men and staff alike. Best of luck to those taking part!
🐮 We’re udderly inspired by Cilwgri Farm in HMP Prescoed & Cilwrgi Farm. Prisoners are learning to use an advanced robotic system that allows cows to volunteer to be milked. This approach provides prisoners with agricultural qualifications and better job prospects after release.
🌿Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do at HMP Prescoed & Cilwrgi Farm We have recently opened a new work boot sterilising unit and have linked up with HMP Swansea and HMP Cardiff to save on average £18 per pair of boots cleaning and sterilising old pairs to be used again🥾

Permanent Secretary Antonia Romeo and HMPPS Director General @CEOHMPPS recently visited Cilwgri Farm HMP Prescoed & Cilwrgi Farm. 🐄 The farm has a new robotic milking system and prisoners are taught how to operate this machinery, giving them valuable skills for jobs on release.
