Both these statements can be true:

- KC should have won.

- The format is not optimised for entertainment & competition.

Many teams, this season, have missed regionals due to the format; this is the biggest one.

I honestly think if open qualifiers were single elimination across 2 days, you would get better results than double elimination imo.

A huge factor for upsets is the drop down into lower and waiting for a team coming through lowers with momentum and good warm-up.

Thoughts?
