Lawmakers get back to work at 9:00a tomorrow, with the goal of wrapping up their work for the 2024 Fiscal Session by midday Thursday.

The plan is to then return Thursday, May 9, to adjourn sine die.

Since you already named Wright's Barbecue: In no order, the Jalapeño Cheeseburger at Hugo’s in Fayetteville, a slice of pepperoni and mushroom at pizzeriaruby in Johnson, the Smoked Pork Belly Fries at Saiwok in Rogers.

Lagunitas IPA. Wishing I’d seen the Ivory Bill Extra Extra or the Greenhouse Aleworks Thistle, but I missed them.

Happy with my Packers’ pick at 25. No real surprises in the first three picks or so. Like most everyone else, just absolutely bewildered by Atlanta.

A favorite. And for the guy who blocks his number when he calls to leave angry, drunken voicemails, often complaining that I often refer to Springdale as my hometown: It’s one of our favorite places in my hometown of Springdale, Arkansas.

One might say the legislature approving an audit of the Governor’s Office and discussing said audit in a public meeting last week is a form of accountability, even if lawmakers aren’t likely to offer any kind of corrective action.

So we grabbed lunch at HomeGrown right down the street, so I’m just having one cold beer here while she’s in a thing nearby—but we do love the pizza here. Haven’t ever had the calzone.

Little earlier than I’d normally do this, but it’s Friday afternoon, it’s raining, and I’m waiting on my wife at The Odd Soul in downtown Springdale.

Who’s got questions?

Intrepid reporter Mike Wickline, clearly not at all embarrassed by the full Senate singing to him on his birthday.
