Enjoyed speaking @JohnBroder’s journalism/democracy class @ucla @uclaluskin. We discussed the power of 1 brave journalist Bethany McLean to change history. She proved Enron ran a ponzi scheme, w numerous execs going to prison - even ordering a power shutdown causing CA blackouts

Joe Lieberman was a giant of the Senate, a man of faith, integrity, & decency. As Chair of Sen. Gov. Affrs he helped expose Enron as a crim. entrprse. Sharon/I spent a lot of time w Joe & Hadassah, we loved every moment. We send our deepest prayers to Hadassah & the entire family

John Burton was a force in California politics—uncompromising, passionate, and deeply committed to the causes he believed in. We didn’t always see eye to eye, but I respected his tenacity and his lifelong fight for the vulnerable. His impact will not be forgotten.
