Update on the injured booted eagle which was found at sea a few weeks ago, it was ringed and released back into the wild from the Upper Rock Nature Reserve by the Raptor Unit. Here’s to the conservation efforts of all those involved and a successful journey ahead.

Some nightingale song from the forest near Zeewolde NL earlier. Every few hundred yards another one in song! Then some NL cycling heaven later in the stunning Utrechtse Heuvelrug (ridge) National park. Sadly pointing the old bike back in E. Anglia’s general direction tomorrow.

The Dutch made about 250 million recreational bike rides of an hour or more in 2022/2023.
