Today we gave Nileist the challenge of jumping my old white skinny gate. He took everything in stride.

Nileist is such a positive, enthusiastic horse. He’s the guy who’ll try anything once. It’s normally hard to get horses over skinnies without stands on a hand held lead. Nileist is so good at it!

The gorgeous Pie… Her race name, Triple Vanilla, suits her. It’s provocative.

Pixie waits diligently while K finishes mixing her dinner gruel. She is so adorable…

And no, K no longer catch rides. She only rides my God kids. Her rule, not mine. I'd have her ride whatever horse needs her.

When we speak of horses 'firing' or 'kicking' in terms of jumping, this is what we mean. See the angle of the kick on this horse. That's international level.

And yes, as a catch rider, K rode Annabella, a 14 hand pony all the way to Leo. a 18.3 WB... If you're thinking of catch riding, you must physically prep your body for 3 months at least.

Phoenix and K enjoyed each other. K was his exercise rider for several years.

And for those who asked... Yes, K was a catch rider for Julia! Julia was one of M's mares. Brilliant jumper, but she and K did not understand each other well. Opposite personality and horsonality...
