Dr Hani Al-Haitham, ED director at Shifa, reported killed by an Israeli air strike w his family. Imagine if the ED Director of a tertiary hospital was killed in Australia, it would be major news. Gazawis matter, they are not less important. This problematic lens degrades us all.

Some personal reflections on the night before returning home. Part of me will remain forever behind.
