Wildfires ripping in NERN BC and SRN NWT again today with a possible pyrocb. GOES mid-ir band shows intense (white areas) and very intense (red) fires. All the wildfires burning except one (near Fort Nelson) are overwintering fires from 2023.

Ahead of the #wildfire season, we are taking significant steps through #EUCivilProtectionMechanism to bolster 🇪🇺 firefighting efforts by:

🟢 strategically pre-positioning over 550 👨‍🚒 from 12 countries;
🟢 assembling a firefighting aircraft fleet.
