End of a chapter!

Today was my last day at UQ News almost exactly 5 years after interviewing during the jacaranda season. Not sure where the years went, but I am leaving with a bag of lessons learned.

New Lu/Hf ages from the South Tibetan metamorphic sole shows that subduction started 15 Ma before ophiolite formation, confirming our earlier finding in Oman!

10 days into our trip through Japan we’ve experienced an earthquake (M4.5) and a typhoon. We’ve visited numerous sites related to the 2011 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster. Today we walked on Mt Fuji. Rewarding to see 🇦🇺🇯🇵
teamwork!
