UK is a failing state: it’s failing families hit by mortgage hikes announced today (TrussTax!) and it’s failing pensioners who already have one of the lowest pensions in Europe, not to mention the betrayal of the Waspi women. Scotland needs a different path with independence.

Jackie Baillie and Anas Sarwar making it clear Labour will support the Tories against the SNP.

No ifs, no buts, Labour will always do a deal with the Tories against the SNP.

It is absolutely disgraceful that Westminster is saying to Scottish postmasters they can’t get justice at the same time as their English, Welsh & Northern Irish counterparts.

This is a Westminster problem. Westminster must & should sort it.

Here’s a 🧵on what I said last night

We don’t “elect” FM or PM's but governments. That's why we had the following 'unelected' Labour leaders:

2000 Henry McLeish FM

2001 Jack McConnell FM

2007 Gordon Brown PM

2024 Vaughan Gething Welsh FM

Then there's the tories Johnstone, Truss and Sunak.

All unelected!

Someone needs to ask Sarwar if Vaughan Gething is the legitimate FM of Wales? He was installed after Welsh Labour leader Mark Drakeford stepped down. Either Gething has followed Labour party protocol or he hasn't. Is Scotland's media just going to parrot what Sarwar says?

He has given principled and empathetic leadership to our country and has worked tirelessly to bring people together. I wish Humza, Nadia and their family well in all that lies ahead.

I am terribly sorry that the First Minster has decided to step down. Humza Yousaf has been a pioneer, the first person of colour to hold office as First Minister.

I am so sorry, heartsick sad, for Humza Yousaf & Nadia. They’ve always put others before themselves & today encapsulates that. He’s led & left with dignity, compassion & an overwhelming desire to put the interests of the nation before his own. A true leader. So proud of my friend

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 This is what a progressive The SNP government is delivering in Scotland - despite years of austerity cuts from Westminster 👇

If you're going to resign from Office, do it with dignity. Here's Humza Yousaf's inspiring and emotional resignation announcement. Harvie, Ross, Sarwar and Salmond look that little bit smaller after that.

Dignified and understandably emotional resignation by Humza. No grudges, just gratitude for the chance to lead. The mark of the man.

The MoD's answer to my written question has revealed the first 'Category A' safety incident at Faslane in 15 years - meaning likely radioactive release to the environment. This continues a worrying decline in nuclear safety standards at the bases.

A vote for Scottish Labour is a vote for never being as economically, industrially or socially successful as Denmark. Why? Because they're Unionists and Scotland is simply not their top priority and they support Brexit.

As expected.
Starmer states that although the UK is, in his opinion, a voluntary union - Scotland can't leave it.

In terms of the Scotland headlines,I find it bizarre that,in just 8 years,we've had 6 UK PMs,6 UK chancellors of the exchequers,8 UK foreign secretaries and 8 UK home secretaries ...yet we have one vote of no confidence in Scotland and all of a sudden we are the ones in crisis!?

This is all Scottish Labour has. Sneer and ridicule. But, they support Brexit, the SNP don't and want to rejoin the EU because they know it's an economic imperative. Labour simply isn't on Scotland's side - never has been, never will be.

Rachel Reeves You were on Channel 4 News denigrating the SNP and Scotland. Well for your information, the SNP may not be perfect but it has done more for Scotland in its 17 yrs in power than Labour has done in 100yrs. I am an ex Labour Member and I’m never coming back to Lab

Jackie Baillie has again confirmed Labour will support the Conservatives against the SNP.

Whatever happened to 'No ifs, no buts, no deals with the Tories'?
