Our third inductee into the 2025 Granite City Sports Hall of Fame Class is 2007 graduate Tessa (Gavilsky) Florio. ⚽️ 2007 Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year ⚽️ Played four seasons at Stetson WSoccer ⚽️ Played six seasons of pro soccer ⚽️ Had 57 goals and 64 assists at GCHS
Our fourth inductee into the 2025 Granite City Sports Hall of Fame Class is 1980 graduate Laura Gabriel. 🎾 Two-time State Qualifier at GCHS 🎾 1979 District doubles champion w/Susan Squires 🎾 65-9 record at Quincy, best in school history 🎾 Member of Quincy Hawks Hall of Fame
Our sixth inductee into the 2025 GC Sports Hall of Fame Class is 2000 graduate Erika (Todd) Hackmann. ⚽️ All-time leader at SEMO Soccer in points (71) and 3rd in goals (27) ⚽️ 3-time all-Ohio Valley Conference ⚽️All-State and all-Midwest ⚽️ Had 24 goals and 7 assists for 55 points in 2000
Our seventh inductee into the 2025 GC Sports Hall of Fame Class is 1975 graduate Sam Nesbit. 🏃♂️Asst. GCHS track coach from 2000-24 🏃♂️3-sport athlete at GCHS: XC, wrestling & track 🏃♂️Ran XC and track at SIUE Cougars 🏃♂️SIUE Track & Field MVP in 1978 🏃♂️1984 Boston Marathon Qualifier
