Climate strike week 280

After yesterday's depressing news on climate targets by Scottish Government decided to get out and do something positive for the climate by beach cleaning the Summer Isles by Ullapool.

Scotland’s 2030 target was always ambitious and that’s great. But plenty of us have been shouting for years that these need to be backed with early action, engagement, strategic vision and detailed delivery plans. Today is at least partly the result of not heeding that.

This is a typical reponse of all governments that just don't 'get' #climate breakdown.

Instead of trying harder, they just give up.

Just pathetic, and especially so in the face of an existential threat.

The elites refusing to stop pumping carbon into the atmosphere have a new policy:

Levelling down.

So Scottish Government 2030 climate targets abandoned & all political credibility lost.
Usual solution of kicking the can down the road for the next generation to deal with the problem. We desperately need action now, not removal of accountable targets which make net zero 2045 impossible.
