The Workshop is being organized by Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW), GoI, and FAO, UN, with the aim of promoting objectives of the project funded by Global Environment Facility (GEF), coordinated by FAO and implemented by MoA&FW in the 4 Indian states.

The inaugural session of the workshop was held in gracious presence of Smt. Shubha Thakur, Additional Secretary (Crops), DA&FW, GoI, Mr Takayuki Hagiwara, FAO Representative in India & Dr Prasanta Swain, Project Coordinator and Nation Food Systems Expert, NPMU, GEF 7, FAO India.

Mr. Takayuki Hagiwara, FAO Representative in India, praised the project's innovative approach, focused on embedding sustainable farming practices in collaboratively managed landscapes to preserve ecosystem services and global environmental values.
