The Global Report on Food Crises places FAO in Afghanistan's programs in the wider context, explaining why it's essential to restart large-scale food production, as FAO has been doing in Afghanistan since 2021.

Qole Hashmat Khan wetland in #Kabul has received fresh water as a result of recent rainfalls. Once habitat for over 190 bird species, has recently dried due to poor management & prolonged droughts. 10ha of its land was grabed & turned into housing & its water was looted on d way.
