Charles Leclerc is on an 11-0 run vs. Carlos Sainz since sprint quali in China. Pretty clear heโ€™s found his groove.

Only 1 driver has managed to win back-to-back races since the new regulations started in 2022:

- Max Verstappen

Max stands alone right now but Charles Leclerc could join him with a win in Montreal.

Another fun Lewis Hamilton stat that got missed in Monaco is that he became the only driver in Formula 1 history to post a fastest lap in 17 different seasons.

Fastest laps by number of years:
1. Lewis Hamilton - 17
2. Michael Schumacher - 16
3. Kimi Raikkonen - 14

What's crazy is from Monaco last year to now, the top 3 in the drivers' standings stays the same:

From Monaco 2023 to Monaco 2024:
๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Max Verstappen - 625 pts
๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡จ Charles Leclerc - 310 pts
๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Lando Norris - 308 pts

They're the only 3 drivers to get over 300 points too.

Yuki Tsunoda has as many Q3 appearances (6) as:
- Lewis Hamilton
- Sergio Perez

Yuki Tsunoda has more Q3 appearances (6) than:
- Fernando Alonso (5)
- Daniel Ricciardo (1)

Yuki has really shown that he is very deserving of serious consideration for the 2nd Red Bull seat.

F1 only heard the Dutch national anthem once this May. Lowest amount in a month since April 2023.

The last time Max Verstappen went a full month that held multiple races without a win was November 2020.

The Dutch anthem has been F1's theme song.

Charles Leclerc has really gotten back his mojo in qualifying recently.

From Bahrain to China, Carlos Sainz held an average advantage of 0.071% in qualifying.

But from Miami to Monaco, Charles Leclerc has an average advantage of 0.251% in qualifying.

Here's a stat that shows how fast F1 can change:

Monaco was only the 2nd time ever that Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton AND Fernando Alonso all finished outside the top five (China 2016).

They all shared a podium together last season in Canada, which is the next race.

Very surprised to find out a tight street track specializing in qualifying position had a lot less action thanโ€ฆan oval race.

The Indy 500 was incredible & Monacoโ€™s race needs help but this is genuinely like comparing apples to polar bears.

Miami to Canada might be the toughest stretch of the year for Red Bull & with one race left, Max Verstappen has only lost 3 pts to Leclerc & actually gained 4 over Lando.

Others have improved a lot in areas but Red Bull shouldnโ€™t panic until the RB20 is struggling in Barcelona.

ICYMI: Pitched ideas on how to try improving the Monaco race but if nothing works, why not just turn the spectacle into F1โ€™s All Star Game with smaller cars? It stays on the calendar & can be separate from the championship.

You can boo me if you hate it.

Yuki Tsunoda already has more points than he scored all of last season.

First 8 races of 2024 - 19 points
All of 2023 - 17 points

Tsunoda has also scored points in his last 5 straight race finishes. He's arguably the most consistent driver of the midfield.

Charles Leclerc is closer to Max Verstappen in the drivers' championship right now than he was after the first 8 races of 2022.

Gap to Verstappen:
2024 - 31 points
2022 - 34 points

This time Leclerc is trending in the opposite direction of 2022 though.

The best overtake of the entire Monaco weekend came in F2 when Oliver Bearman pulled this amazing move on Kimi Antonelli.

Have a feeling weโ€™ll be seeing this one in highlight packages once they both get to Formula 1.

6 drivers have outscored Sergio Perez since Miami.

Leclerc 62
Verstappen 59
Norris 55
Sainz 39
Piastri 33
Hamilton 23
Perez 22

This could seriously spice up the constructors & drivers title in the future if Max doesnโ€™t have a rear gunner to offset an emerging McLaren & Ferrari.

Sunday was a total procession but that shouldnโ€™t take away from Charles Leclerc winning his Monaco home race for the 1st time after delivering when it mattered most.

Plus, I pitched ideas for how to improve Monaco. One is maybe a bit radical.๐Ÿ‘‡
