This is disingenuous to say the least. A decade ago Jeremy Hunt promised an extra 6,000 doctors. In the 10 years hence there are 3,000 fewer. So, all told, the UK is short of 9,000 GPs. The methodology to which Department of Health and Social Care refers is simple - there ain’t enough docs to meet demand
