Happy Veterans Day, Utah! Thank you to the brave men and women across our state and our country who have put their lives on the line in service to our country. We must always stand with you as you did for us.

I’m so grateful for my wonderful wife, Emily. She brings much light and joy to me, our family and many others who know her. We spent a delightful weekend celebrating her birthday in our favorite mountain spots.

I testify that Jesus Christ lives and that His perfect love, expressed through His atoning sacrifice, is extended to all who desire to walk with Him and enjoy His peace in this world and in the world to come.

After a long, badly needed snowy winter in Utah, the great thaw has begun and it was time to start getting Moose ready for some big mountain adventures today.

Last weekend, we had the opportunity to show the kids the Grand Canyon. They made it deep enough inside to appreciate the magnitude of its size and splendor. And though a few tears were shed on the way back up, I’m confident that only positive memories will endure! 😁

Gavin and I hiked up to Camp Muir on Mt. Rainier over the weekend. I couldn’t have asked for a better adventure buddy for the day. He was fast and tough all the way up. Sharing the view of the cloud tops and other Pacific Northwest volcanoes with him was priceless.

Last weekend, Emily and I finally achieved a yearslong team goal to climb King’s Peak, Utah’s highest point, together in one day. For us, it was 28 miles, 4,700 feet of vert, and worth every resulting ache and pain.
